Trainer: Brandon Kirkland
Trainee/s: Amber Schmitzer, Jade Busbee, Zach Harvey, Vicky Sanchez, Pat Pryor, Dagger Hefter, James (the Kitchen manager MIT, didn't get his last name)
Follow: Day 1 Runner
Please give a brief overview of the trainee/s performance during their follow, including strengths and weaknesses. List each in order if multiple trainees are present.
1) Amber Schmitzer - Awesome, great attitude, super quick learner.
2) Jade Busbee - Very nice, kind of quiet, a little timid about role play. Overall still a strong runner. May need extra attention to bring her out of her shell.
3) Zach Harvey - Eager learner, volunteered several times. Good sense of humor.
4) Vicky Sanchez - Strong work ethic, took very easily to the prep and running portion of the training.
5) Pat Pryor - Previous employee, picked up everything quickly. Helped others.
6) Dagger Hefter - Strong silent type, willing participant in all training activities. Coolest name at the Alamo.
7) James - Kitchen Manager MIT, very willing to participate with other trainee's, super helpful.
If Day Three Follow, please post trainee/s Certification score and/or retake score.
What roles do you see the trainee/s attaining in their future with the Alamo Drafthouse family?
1) Amber Schmitzer - Feels like a server
2) Jade Busbee - Soft spoken and friendly. Seems like a 400 Rabbits server.
3) Zach Harvey - Would probably fit in anywhere but, kitchen or serving would be my guess.
4) Vicky Sanchez - Has previous food service experience, Kitchen or Server
5) Pat Pryor - Server
6) Dagger Hefter - Feels like a bartender but, could be a strong server
7) James - Kitchen Manager
Did you cover all topics on the Follow Card?
Yes
Do you feel that the trainee/s was given enough guidance?
Yes
What was something you learned from this train?
That 6 people plus an MIT is a bit of a gamble. It's difficult to give people personal attention during the second half of the day (while running actual food). Today it worked out because everybody was taking well to the training but, I could see how it could become an issue.
What feedback do you have to improve our training efforts?
Keep training groups to a max of...4ish people. It might be worth creating pre-written food tickets (for runner roleplay) for each theater in order to conserve on time and provide similar training for each class of trainees. Not sure if that's possible to program in Aloha or not.
