Date: 6/18/2013

Trainer: Brandon Kirkland

Trainee/s:
1) Lisa Juman (May need confirmation on last name spelling)
2) Jordan Pintka

Follow: Day 1 Runner Training

Please give a brief overview of the trainee/s performance during their follow, including strengths and weaknesses. List each in order if multiple trainees are present.
1) Lisa Juman - Lisa was a real "go-getter" you can tell that she has worked in the service industry before and felt completely comfortable with trays. She took to the information very well and seemed to fit right in. I can't really think of any weaknesses that need special attention.
2) Jordan Pintka - Jordan was very intelligent and seemed to have a good amount of knowledge about the inner workings of the Drafthouse. She had a little bit of trouble getting comfortable with crouching but, she's probably 5'10 so we worked a little on posture in order to help with that. Overall I'd say she seems like a good fit for the company and just needs a little more practice with running food before she'll be perfect.

If Day Three Follow, please post trainee/s Certification score and/or retake score.
N/A
What roles do you see the trainee/s attaining in their future with the Alamo Drafthouse family?
1) Lisa Juman- Server and/or Bartender
2) Jordan Pintka - Server and/or Bartender
Did you cover all topics on the Follow Card?
Yes
Do you feel that the trainee/s was given enough guidance?
Yes
What was something you learned from this train?
The kitchen guys have revised the popcorn making process in order to help prevent some burning. May consider revising in the training material. Also, the front doors were locked this morning and David was upstairs. Somebody from the kitchen let me inside but, I had a late start on preparing some of the materials. Considering doing some of the preperation the night before training in order to save time in the morning.
What feedback do you have to improve our training efforts?
It's not a training feedback but, an observation. Recently there have been days where my trainee's are expected to help with running food for early rounds (such as kids camp) before they've even had a chance to learn HOW to run. Even though labor might be an issue there needs to be runners scheduled to handle those rushes so we don't postpone the actual roleplay. This is partially because I feel it's unfair to throw trainee's into actual running without proper training AND because there is a short window of time in which theaters are available for roleplay in the mornings. The longer you push back the roleplay the less time they have to absorb the information.
